My Flower Power Project

I've picked a poncho to knit for my project. It is from the same fall issue of Interweave Knits as the pillow. It has a little crocheted flower on the front. It is very "Flower Power". I am going to pick out and order my yarn from Knit Picks today. I haven't jumped on the poncho bandwagon yet. This one looks so cute, flattering, and fast that I couldn't resist.

By the way...it is balmy down here in Texas. I wish it would get cold soon.

Welcome, Jenni! I'm glad you've joined us. What colors are you thinking?

And yes, very flower power.

Hey, Jenni. I read your profile. Now we have the whole gamut covered with Reading Teachers. I teach EIP (Early Intervention Program) reading in an elementary school, Melissa is a Reading Specialist at a Middle School, and you are a High School English Teacher! How funny is that?

Yeah, I was noticing that too. Pretty neat. I guess there must be something about reading and knitting that goes together. I found the "Knitting the Classics" blog. I subsrcribed. That's pretty neat.

I just voted for books on there.
Good colors. Will be way too cute with jeans and a white long sleeve and your boots.

Wow! I've learned my lesson. Turn your back on the blog for a day and we get a new person. Welcome, Jenni. Glad to have you here. I'll amend the map.
